NASCAR will come to Dover International Speedway this weekend. Known as the “Miles the Monster”, the track is concrete track that is 1 mile in length with four turns. The track is located in Dover Delaware, and has a horse racing facility – Dover Downs located right next door. The entire weekend will be full of racing starting on Wednesday May 13th with the Dover 200 practice. On Thursday, the Dover 200 qualifying, along with the Autism Speaks 400 practice and qualifying and Helluva Good 200 final practice will take place. Friday, the Helluva Good 200 qualifying and Autism Speaks 400 final practice will occur. Lastly, the main events – Helluva Good 200 will take place Saturday May 15th at 2pm, and the Autism Speaks 400 is slated for Sunday May 16th at noon.

In the Sprint Cup Championship, Jimmie Johnson is the current favorite as one of our favorite sports book – BetUS. Johnson is listed at +350, while Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin have +450 odds. Jeff Gordon is next, at +500. The rest of the racers listed, have odds of +1000 or greater, which may be a great bet. Any racer other than the top 27 listed garner odds of +10,000, which a $1 bet would win the bettor $10,000. The current Spring Cup Top five includes Kevin Harvick, Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch, Jeff Gordon and Matt Kenseth. The next regularly schedule Spring Cup Championship race is scheduled for May 30th in Charlotte.

For the Autism Speaks Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson are the favorites, listed at +500. Kyle Busch is listed at +600, while Denny Hamlin is next (+800). In the Nationwide Series, as of the last race, in Darlington last weekend, Brad Keselowski leads the current standings, while Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, Carl Edwards and Justin Allgaier round out the top five. The next Nationwide race that is on the schedule is May 29th in Charlotte, at 2pm.

The weekend is expected to be full of excitement for race fans. Dover Delaware always puts on quite a spectacle when race weekend comes. The weather for the weekend is calling for rain early in the week, but clear skies for Saturday and Sunday. Thursday will be the coolest days with a high of 62, while Friday the temperatures will increase to 82, then settle in the low to mid 70’s for Saturday and Sunday.
